Mr. Neal will explain and demonstrate the importance of evidence documentation and preservation, vehicle dynamics, collision severity, “Black Box” Data, video analysis, and other principles of accident reconstruction. Three case studies will be discussed: low speed rear-end collision at “highway speeds,” out-of-service brakes, and multiple dash camera videos to determine vehicle speeds. By the end of the presentation, the attendee will walk away with a better understanding of the unique aspects of heavy truck investigation and reconstruction, allowing them to make relevant decisions on these specialized cases.
