Biographical Info

Sarah is a Partner with Foley, Baron, Metzger, & Juip, PLLC. Her practice is focused on medical malpractice defense, professional liability, licensing matters, as well as executive employment matters.

Sarah’s medical malpractice defense practice involves representing hospital systems, physician groups, insurance companies, physicians (in all specialties), nurses, and mid-level providers.

She particularly enjoys handling Daubert hearings, complex issues involving electronic medical records (“EMR”), and providing clients with a thorough damage analysis.

Before joining Foley, Baron, Metzger & Juip, Sarah was a Partner at a local law firm and also practiced in medical malpractice defense.

Sarah is a board member for the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (“MDTC”) and sits on a number of committees including the MDTC’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.

Sarah has been honored with various awards, including Super Lawyers 2023 Annual List of “Top Women Attorneys,” Michigan Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” (2022), Michigan Lawyers Weekly Up & Coming Lawyers (2022), and Michigan Lawyers Weekly “Go To” Medical Malpractice Lawyer (2022). She also received the MDTC’s Anita L. Comorski Volunteer of the Year Award (2023).

Sarah has given a number of presentations with MDTC including: Best Practices For Effective (Virtual) Advocacy and Tips for the Young Lawyer (2022); Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Modern Practice (2022); and Found something good on a plaintiff’s social media page – now what (2022). She also presented at the Oakland County Bar Association Raise the Bar Bench Bar Conference on the panel How do we develop the next generation of trial lawyers (2023).
