Biographical Info

Mary C. Aretha is an associate and member of Maddin Hauser’s Defense and Insurance Coverage Practice Group. Ms. Aretha's practice focuses on professional liability defense, insurance coverage, employment litigation, and complex torts. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Kathleen Jansen with the Michigan Court of Appeals. Ms. Aretha previously served as a research attorney with the Michigan Court of Appeals Research Division.

Ms. Aretha earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences with University Honors summa cum laude from Wayne State University, then earned her Juris Doctor summa cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Aretha interned with the Michigan Supreme Court in Justice McCormack's chambers and with the Michigan Court of Appeals Research Division.

A member of the State Bar of Michigan, Ms. Aretha is admitted to practice law in Michigan, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
