Managing Medicaid's Rights of Recovery in Litigation - Teleconference
October 6, 2011
Presenters:
Richard J. Joppich
Raymond W. Morganti
This program will be of use to the novice and expert litigator alike in learning the ins and outs of Medicaid claims for reimbursement of moneys expended for medical services on behalf of individuals who pursue third party liability personal injury claims. The attendee will leave the program with a working knowledge of the Medicaid reporting requirements, the manner and methods of determining Medicaid’s claim, the manner of satisfaction and the various methods of protecting the plaintiff, the defendant, and insurers alike from risks of non-compliance with the Medicaid collection efforts. Key recent cases and useful forms will be discussed to aid in addressing Medicaid issues in your case. This is truly a “Do Not Miss” program as healthcare cost cuts and decreasing social service budgets foretell a future of more stringent recovery efforts by the government programs charged with managing such expenditures.
