Richard J. Suhrheinrich

Professional Liability Section Chair

Richard J. Suhrheinrich is a principal in the Firm and is based in the Okemos, Michigan office. He concentrates his practice on the defense of hospitals and physicians in professional negligence litigation, products liability defense litigation, and insurance defense litigation. He also has experience in municipal litigation and commercial litigation. He received a B.A. in mathematics from Vanderbilt University in 1988, and a Juris Doctor and Masters of Business Administration from Indiana University in 1992. His professional memberships include the State Bar of Michigan, including memberships in the negligence and litigation sections, and The American Inns of Court. He has also acted as an Adjunct Professor at Michigan State University-Detroit College of Law. Mr. Suhrheinrich lectures to health care facilities and physicians on both malpractice and risk management issues and has authored articles in these areas. Professional Liability: The purpose of this Section is to examine and discuss recent case developments in the following areas of professional liability: Accountants, Architects and Engineers, Attorneys, Directors and Officers, Insurance Agents and Brokers, Real Estate Agents, Brokers and Appraisers, and Stockbrokers.
