Insurance Law

The membership of MDTC’s Insurance Law Section consists of attorneys who practice in the area of insurance coverage disputes and indemnity (common law, implied contractual and express contractual). The types of insurance embraced within the scope of the section include general liability, automobile liability and no-fault coverage.

The purpose of the section is to keep the members apprised of recent developments in the law in these areas, and providing information of the practical aspects of handling cases in these practice areas. The section does this by providing articles and case note summaries for the Michigan Defense Quarterly, and by providing speakers for seminars or workshops, when requested.
