Hal O. Carroll
Mr. Carroll is head of the Appellate Department at Vandeveer Garzia.
He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Michigan and in the United States Courts of Appeals in the Sixth and Eighth Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.
He handles appeals, motions for summary judgment and other major motions for the firm, and on a referral basis for other firms or clients.
Mr. Carroll graduated from the University of Michigan in 1966 with honors, and graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 1969.
In law school he was invited to participate in the Campbell Competition, a moot appellate court competition, and was a semifinalist in the competition.
In 1975-1976, Mr. Carroll was a visiting associate professor at The Queen's University of Belfast, where he taught courses in English tort and contract law.
